Lethargy in release of TPPs- relatives to black Flag protest Maithri and Ranil on “ Pongal Visit”
Some NPC members , and relatives of Tamil Political Prisoners (TPPs) and Missing persons are to hold a Black Flag protest against The President and Prime Minister on 13th in Jaffna when they will be on a visit to North to participate in National Pongal celebrations.
This protest will be held in front of Jaffna Bus stand on 13th at around 10’ o clock. This protest has been organized by M.K.Sivajilingam.
The Government after taking over said that the TPPs will be released. To date they have not been released. Our people are unable celebrate Pongal with their closed ones either detained or missing. How fair it is to celebrate Pongal in front such people, he said.
We are holding a protest wearing black clothes. All NPC members must support this protest, he said.
