Intrigue to create Buddhist, Muslim riot: Rishad Badi-ud-deen
This government should not leave any space in this country to create Buddist-Muslim riots. That kind of attempts should be nipped in the bud, said National Leader of the People Congress and Minister, Rishad Badi-udDeen in the convention of delegates held Kurunegalla day before yesterday.
The Muslims in Sri Lanka are never interested in armed struggles. While the Sinhala youths took up arms and the Tamil youth armed themselves to split this country, they thought well and kept their neutrality.
Stories are being spread that Taliban and ISIS had penetrated here and they are planning to create a Buddhist – Muslim riots. We will not allow Sinhala extremism or Tamil Extremism of Muslim extremism. We proved this in the past. We live in the way shown by the Islam. We are afraid of nobody. we will not bow to anybody other than the almighty.
As far as the People’sCongress is concerned, when terrorism raised its head, People Congress cooperated with the then Government to wipe that out. Because of that Muslim IDPs are able to return back to North, he said.
