Army tapping doors of teachers quarters in Mulankavil at mid-night

It had been accused that the Army men who go to the teachers quarters at Mulankavil and tapping the doors.The Principal confirmed that the incident occurred and that the teachers have left the quarters in fear.

Mulankavil MV is one of the two National Schools in Kilinochchi District. There is a camp of the 65Brigade of the Sri Lanka Army in close proximity to the quarters. As the army men from this camp had gone and tapped the doors the teachers staying there had informed the relevant authorities and left the quarters in fear.

When the Divisional Director of Education was contacted over this , he had confirmed the incident and further said that, the OC of the Army camp was informed about this and after visiting the site he had confirmed that the shoe prints at the location are of his soldiers and had promised to transfer out the miscreants . However it was reported that these army men had not been moved out yet. As the teachers are reluctant to stay in the quarters, the learning activities of the students are hindered.

When the principal of the school was contacted, he said that, the OC had transferred the miscreants out and had promised to construct the fence around the quarters.
