Federal solution within one state, Tamil Land within Merged North and East with full powers is our aim : Sampanthan

It does not mean that we have reached our objective if the daily needs of our people are met and some development undertaken. Un-split country – Political solution on the basis of Federal system, unit of merged North and East – Tamil land with full powers granted – this is our target, our voyage will not terminate  until we reach it, said Era Sampanthan, the Leader of the Opposition and the Leader of the TNA.

We are on the last lap of our journey . there is more likelihood of a victory for us.

He was speaking in meeting with people. I could have taken an important ministry which could have solved some problems of the people. But that is not our journey. We demanded separate state. We fought an armed struggle. Now we are struggling politically.We have a good chance of winning in this, he said.
