Repeal PTA and release TPPs soon, CM, C.V.Wigneswaran insist directly with the President

The NPC CM, C.V. Wigneswaran insisted with the president directly to repeal PTA and rlease the TPPs soon and to speed up the resettlement process when the president visited the North to hand over officially, the land released to the people by the Army.

He presented this request while speaking at the event held at Kankesanthurai Nadeswara College, yesterday.

Speaking further he said that, Our people are being gradually benefitted after you taking over as the President. The ideas sown among the Sinhala people by the former Government that Tamils are enemies of Sinhalese should be weaned from them. The Tamils are not opposing the Army. We are opposing only the Army stringency. We are not opposing Sinhala People but Sinhala Chauvinism. Thid should be clarified to the southern people.

To a certain extent the lands are being released here now. There are more 4000 acre to be released here. if 400 more acres will be released with the todays 701 acre, then, the possibility of re-commissioning the KKS Cement  Factory  could be considered. the Military presence here had not decreased. This is hindering the free movement of the people and is not conducive fro reconciliation.
