Paranagama praying to God for missing persons
I am praying to God for the missing to be alive, said the Commissioner of the Presidents Commission on Missing persons, yesterday at Kilinochchi, while speaking among the relatives of missing persons at the end of the 1st day’s sitting of the Commission.in Kilinochchi.
Several relatives testified that they handed over their relatives to Army at Mulliwaikkal area and saw with their own eyes, their relatives being taken away in vehicles and they could not find them thereafter.
They also said that they do not want any compensation and asked the commissioner to find them. Speaking among them the Commissioner said that those who are responsible for people going missing will be definitely punished. He also said that he praying with them for their relatives to be alive.
