Fallen journalist shall be honoured when a respectable solution is reached soon : Sampanthan

Speaking at the International Media Day celebrations held at the Jaffna Public Library yesterday, the Leader of the Opposition, Sampanthan said that a respectable solution will be reached soon and the fallen journalist who had fallen for that cannot be forgotten.They shall be honoured then.

Photographs of around 13 mediamen had to be displayed here because they did their job in a freelancing manner….for doing their duty… for doing their duty bravely. They sacrificed their lives realizing the holy nature of their and bringing out the truth. They sacrificed their lives not for themselves but for us. We should be ever grateful to them, he said.
