Remove Army completely, give us Police powers ,we will control violence: says CM,NPC

The NPC , CM , C.V.Wigneswaran had said that if the army is removed completely and police powers are given to the NPC, they will put a full stop immediately to the Violence culture that is playing havoc in the North.

He was answering the questions of the media that, in the context of all being concerned about the violence culture, the NPC had not taken any action to stop them.

If the violence are occurring amidst thousands of security forces , it means that something is wrong somewhere,he further said.

If the army is removed from the north completely and police powers are given to us, we will put a full stop to the violence culture immediately.

By restraining the army in the camps, neither the problems nor the violence could be solved.The Army should be removed completely. Although it is said that the Army is kept inside the camps, we see them going on patrol. People are still living with fear. Hence there is no question in that the army should be removed completely, he said.
