“Blood Baths of the Final War” – Mulliwaikkal Commemoration tomorrow, events to be held all over Tamil Home Land
The Commemoration of the day on which a maximum genocide was perpetrated on the Tamil People, is to be held in a sentimental note all over Tamil Home land and abroad, tomorrow the 18th May.
Tamil Public Organizations and political parties had requested to a observe day of mourning tomorrow and to raise black flags.
Seven years had passed after hundreds of Thousands of people were massacred in Vanni. May 18th had been declared and observed as the overall commemoration day of all the Tamil people who were killed in this.
Tamil people both in Tamil home land in Sri Lanka and the Tamil Diaspora abroad are observing the Mulliwaikkal Disaster week remembering their kith and kin killed in the final war.
The main event will be held in Mulliwaikkal presided by the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran with Lighting of sacrificial flame and floral tributes at around 9.00 a.m.
The commemoration events organized by TPNF will be held at Mulliwaikkal East at around 3.30 p.m. and at the 46th KM post on Puthukudiyiruppu – Mullaitheevu Road and at Manickapuram River ban in Vakarai at 10.00 a.m.
Vavuniya Citizen Committee will lead the event to be held at Mulliwaikkal at 10.30 a.m.
Mannar Federation of Public Organizations will will hold a Prayer homage to the killed at the Mannar Town Council at around 10.00a.m.
Jaffna University will commemorate the dead in front of the university and in Kailasapathy Hall.
