Federal System is suitable for everyone to live in unity, points out CM to Secretary of State, Norway

If all the  people of Sri Lanka are to live in unity, federal system is the most suitable system, the NPC CM had said to the Secretary of State for Norway’s Foreign Ministry, Dorey Hattem who met him at his secretariat yesterday. The Secretary, who is on a 2-day visit to Sri Lanka, earlier met the Governor at his Secretariat. Later he met the CM in his Secretariat at Kaithady. This meeting extended nearly an hour.

Speaking to the media about the meeting afterwards he further said that he pointed out to the Secretary that, a wrong impression regarding Federal System had been given to the Sinhala people   and this impression had to be corrected first. Sinhala leaders and Tamil politician who can speak Sinhala could engage in this. the Secretary had promised the CM that he will talk with Sinhala leaders regarding this matter.
