Sri Lanka cannot escape from the International Society: Sampanthan

The resolution on Sri Lanka was adopted with the support of several countries including America and with the consent of Sri Lanka. Hence all the recommendations in the resolution should be implemented.The International Community will not allow Sri Lanka to divert from this, said the Leader of the Opposition and TNA, Era. Sampanthan.

The Spokesman of TNA Sumanthran had met the UNHR Commissioner and the VIps of the member states of UN  and held talks with them on the slow pace of the Sri Lankan Government in implementing the recommendations of the resolution; American Secretary to state, Nisha Bishwal had said America is strongly pursuing mechanism forreconciliation and accountability; former American Envoy for war crimes Stephan Ralph had said that there ample evidence for war crimes; Sampanthan asked about his stance  on these matters.

All the resolutions in the UN resolution should be implemented. We are awaiting the oral report of UNHR Commissioner. Nothing could be said beyond this for the present, he said.
