Resettlement Task Force for Sinhalization: warns CM, Wigneswaran
The Resettlement Task Force which had been appointed in connection with the resettlements in the North , excluding NPC, will act in favour of sinhalization , warned the CM, NPC, Wigneswaran. He also accused that the Central Government is continuing to exclude the NPC and taking decision on its own desire and taking off whatever meagre powers left with the Provincial council.
He was speaking on the Task Force appointed by the centre for resettlement of the North, in yesterday’s sitting of NPC.
Igor Cvetkovski expert agreed with my position that we should be consulted with regard to resettlement in the North. But on the other side , the centre is bent on establishing its powers in the North. Centre should have consulted us before constituting the Task Force. The central Government is acting with an indifferent attitude on matters allocated for us through the 13th Amendment, he said.
