We want our uniqueness, says C.V to Canadian Foreign Minister

The Eelam Tamils are not demanding Secession but, ask for their uniqueness be preserved, NPC CM, Justice C.V.Wigneswaran clarified to the visiting Canadian Foreign Minister Stephan Dion.

He also had said that, although war is over for more than 7 years, but Army had not got out of the Tamil  areas.

The Canadian Foreign Minister who is on a visit to Sri Lanka met the Chief Minister yesterday in his Secretariat in Kaithady.

Commenting on the meeting the CM said that he had told the Canadian Foreign Minister   that traditionally our language, Religions, culture and living style are different from the other parts of the Country. We want these preserved. Settling people from out will be like losing our uniqueness. He accepted my position.
