No justice will be delivered to Tamil people without Foreign Judges, Wigneswaran reiterates to British Minister
If foreign Judges and lawyers are not inducted into the investigation into War Crimes, Tamil people will not receive what is justice, reiterated C.V.Wigneswaran, with the British Minister for Foreign affairs and Common Wealth Affairs, Baroness Anely. The British delegation led by the Minister for Foreign, Commonwealth Affairs and Special Representative Against Sexual Violence, Baroness Anely reached Colombo day before yesterday night met the Northern Chief Minister and his Ministers yesterday and had discussion with them yesterday.
Commenting on the meeting the CM further said, ” I told her that the Tamils will not be delivered with justice if foreign Judges and Lawyers are not inducted into the War Crimes Investigation Mechanism. The Government is not seems to be bringing in Foreign Judges or Lawyers. If foreign inputs will not come, it is certain that we will not get justice.
I also said that although Laws against War Crimes have been enacted into the laws of several countries, these are still to be enacted into the Laws of Sri Lanka.
Then I mentioned about the widows, their number, their security and the need to undertake projects related to them.
I also indicated to her that the decisions taken in the south are having the nature of excluding us.” he said.
