TNA leadership in an attempt to obtain signatures supporting grace to SL, in ‘Sinnammah’ style, TNA members express fears
Several TNA members have expressed fears that the TNA leadership is to go on a campaign obtaining signatures of TNA in the meeting to be held in Vavuniya, in ‘Sinnammah’ style.
The TNA leadership has planned to rally support locally for granting time to Sri Lanka Government by the UNHRC, it is said. Information has started to leak that arrangements have been made obtain signatures of TNA Parliamentarians and Provincial council members who have been invited for today’s meeting.
Giving time to Sri Lanka amounts to refusing justice to Tamil people and today’s meeting is for obtaining signatures of members in the Sinnammah style of Tamilnadu, said some angered TNA Members.
We are not going support any act betraying Tamil people, they said.
While saying the that no more time should be granted to SL which should implement the 2015 resolution fully , they also said that they will insist with the TNA leadership giving time to SL is an injustice we do to the Tamil people.
Meanwhile it is notable that Sampanthan and Sumanthiran are trying to rally local support for granting time to SL.
