Give a reply to the anguishes of people: CM, Wigneswaran requests President Maithripala

The Northern CM, C.V. Wigneswaran has requested the President Maithripala Sirisena, that he should pay attention on the continuous struggles undertaken in distress by the relatives of people made to disappear, Land release problems with the associated unnecessary military presence, and the distresses of the youth who had engaged in struggles after graduating, demanding jobs.

A special meeting had occurred between the CM and the President yesterday in Colombo where the CM had highlighted the above matters.

He had said to the President that the relatives of the person made to disappear are pursuing their struggle at Kilinochchi for the 49th day, Vavuniya for the 38th day, Mulaitheevu for the 26th day, Vadamaradchchi for the 19th day, and Trincomalee for the 29th day. Most of them are aged over sixty. They are struggling in the sun and the cold.

He had asked the President to at least find the people whose photographs appeared in news papers after going missing,  especially the girl Miss. Jeyawathana appearing with the President in a election campaign photo.

He had called for the quick action of the President regarding the above matters.
