38 Kilos Ganja captured in 2 days at the Uduththurai Beach

38 Kilos of Ganja buried in the sand in Vettilaikerni Uduththurai beach were captured. 17 kgs of Ganja were captured by the Navy during a search operation on the Beach of Uduththurai in the Palai division under Kilinochchi police area, day before yesterday. This Ganja was handed over to the Palai Police.

When the navy again searched the area yesterday, they again captured 21 kilos of Ganja which were also handed over to the Police.

These searches were conducted under the Supervision of the Kilinochchi/Mulaitheevu DIG, Mahes Welikkanna, Kilinochchi SSP,Palith R. Siriwardene and Kilinochchi District ASP and along with Navy personnel.

However no suspects were arrested and the courts procedures and further inquiries are being undertaken by the Palai police.
