2 Motor cycles recovered from well in the area released by the Army: Army removes Number plates

Two motor cycles and some motor cycle parts were recovered from a well in Kueu Road in Kankesanthurai, an area released by the Army recently. Kankesanthurai North area which was a HSZ was released for the use of the people last November.

People in the process of cleaning their lands released by the Army. Thus the owners of a well shared by 5 families made arrangements to clean their well. Half way through pumping the water they have noticed the motor cycles in the well. After informing the police and as per the instruction of the police, the owners had recovered from the well and one Hero Honda Passion Motor Cycle and one TVS motor Cycle and some motor cycle parts.

All of a sudden  some Army men had come there in a van in highly tensed state had sent everybody out before breaking the number plates from the motor cycles and vanishing with them. The police who came later inspected the area and had asked the owners to make a complaint in the police station.

It is notable that explosives are being continuously recovered from wells in the lands earlier under the control of the Army and this is the first time that something like motor Cycles had been recovered. Invariably the area people are worried about their own safety.
