100th day attention drawing rally of Relatives of Missing, Calls for US, European intervention
The relatives of the missing held a attention drawing demonstration yesterday at around 11 a.m. in Vavuniya.
The struggle undertaken by the relative of missing reached the 100th day, yesterday.
Following worship at Kanthaswamy Kovil the strugglers proceeded through Bazaar street, along Horowapothanai road and along Kandy Road, and reached their struggle base. They Carried the US flag, and the strugglers carried placard calling for American and European help. They also carried European Union flag.
They bowed that this struggle will be continued until justice is delivered for them. The Vavuniya District MP, Sivasakthy Anandan and Democratic People’s front’s Media spokesman, Paskara participated in the worship. However they went away without participating in the rally.
