219 Teachers appointed to Northern schools

The event of granting appointments to the graduate teachers to the vacancies for teachers in Maths and Science and Technology subjects was held yesterday, at the Jaffna Hindu College.

In this event held at around 9.00 a.m., the NPC CM, C.V.Wigneswaran participated as the chief guest and handed over the appointments.

During this event, 219 Graduate teachers were given appointment. 16 Graduates were appointed as Physics teachers, 11 to Chemistry, 13 to Biology, 10 to Combined Maths, 15 to Biologocal Technology, 2 for science  for Technology, 95 to Science and 45 for Maths.

Several people including the NPC Minister of Education, T.Kurukularajah, members of NPC, Chief Secretary and Secretary to the Minister, participated in this event.

The CM while speaking to the teachers warned that, if the teaching is not found satisfactory, appointments will be withdrawn.
