Vidya murdered for pornographic video to be sold abroad, International planning, Says Actg. Attorney General
The Acting Attorney General Dappul de Livera delivering his preliminary submission in the Vidya Gang Rape and Murder case before 3-member Trial at Bar revealed shocking details of Gang Rape cum Murder of Vidya, saying that it had been planned abroad, and an agreement had been made to sell the video recording of the rape to international market. Continuing he address he said:
“This is not an ordinary rape cape. There is something big behind it. This incident is a pre-meditated abroad. The 9th accused, a Swizz citizen is the mastermind behind the crime. This crime was committed on 2015.05.13 at 7.30. The crime was videoed with 5th and 6th committing the crime repeatedly. The 9th accused had informed the details of the crime to his contact in Switzerland. The video had been already sent to the contracted person.
Two years of minute investigations had been painstakingly done by the Police Officers. An attempt was made to bribe 20 Million to investigating officers.
The girl was on her way to school when she was dragged into an abandoned house gang raped, then brought to the spot where she was murdered and the they have gagged her with different things and then strangled her to death. Injuries were found all over her body. The postmortem had revealed that she had been subjected to merciless violence.
The judgement of this case will deliver a strong and important message to the people of the country he said.
