Intrigues to chase out of politics failed, now they throwing challenges: points out the CM
Several actions are being to sideline and drive away me from politics are taking place, because I insist on opposing completely the 13th amendment. Because of the intrigues of some had failed they are now throwing challenges at me, said the NPC CM, Justice C.V.Wigneswaran.
The declaring open of the Arumuga Navalar Statue was held at Jaffna Central College yesterday at around 10.00 a.m. Participating in this event as the Chief Guest, the CM said as above.
Elaborating further he said, recently one person asked why I am obstinate on the rights of the Tamil people and why can’t I compromise like Sampanthan Aiya. I answered him that I don’t know whether Sampanthar Aiya is compromising or not, but if we don’t put up the foundation well, the whole building will collapse one day. It is sheer stupidity to think that good building could be built on a wrong foundation. Saying that we can built it up little by little also will apply for a proper foundation.
We should realize the disaster that will be caused when we accept fully implementing the 13th amendment under the unitary state system after quoting the basics such as Nationalism, self determination, motherland, autonomy and the merger of North and East.
If it is to be Unitary State, it will make Nationalism, self determination, motherland, autonomy to disappear without a trace and under rthe full implementation of the 13th even the merger of North and East will not occur.
Colombo’s view is to find a solution without granting anything we are asking now. We are the affected people. The problem should be approached from our stance, not from the Colombo’s stance. 13th will make us lose our identity and unitary state will make us perpetual slaves. If our uniqueness is to be preserved, we should vehemently oppose the 13th. This was insisted to Rajiv Gandhi in 1987 by Amirthalingam, Sivasithambaram and non other than Sampanthar. If Navalar’s policies are sultry, well we also have an obligation to be sultry.
