People are asking for new Constitution as the old one is with shortcomings, says Eastern CM

The Chief Minister of Eastern Provincial Council, Ahamed Nazeer Zainulabdeen Ahmed said that the people are calling for a new constitution as the old constitution is having shortcomings.

Further, we should understand the reality that lot of problems were caused by the aspects in the current constitution, which are inimical to the rights of the minorities.

Wrong impressions regarding the devolution of power, whereas in reality the devolution of power will benefit all the people of the country.

He said so while providing clarification to media men yesterday, on the current situation that had been caused regarding the new Constitution.
