The New Constitution painted with lies: Co-Chair of Tamil People’s Council, P.Luxman

It is the need of the day to be vigilant about the attempts to force down the Tamil people, the new Constitution painted with lies, said a C-chair of the TPC, Dr.P.Luxman.

A special meeting of the TPC was held in the Auditorium of the Jaffna Library, presided by its Co-Chairs, NPC Chief minister, C.V.Wigneswaran, Dr.P.Luxman and T. Vasantharajah.

Our people have shown several times very firmly that what they want is a complete Federal system on the basis of, a secularism, and self determination in the historical motherland of merged North and East.

Realizing that these basic political aspirations of our people could not be destroyed, this government is adhering to a deceptive approach and attempting to force a constitution which cannot fulfill the basic aspirations of the Tamil people gilding it with lies and attempting to obtain the consent of the Tamil people in the name of a Political Solution. Unfortunately, some of our people are collaborating in this.

It is the need of the day to go to the people and truthfully tell them our need and the reality, he said.
