Educational officials shocked by cut pieces of Uniform cloths for Kilinochchi students  packed in fertilizer bags

The uniform clothes sent to be distributed to the students of the Kilinochchi Educational region have been received in fertilizer  and are in a dirty state, said the Educational officials. They further said that they were in cut state and cannot be identified as to which piece go with which piece.

It is understood that these cloths were sent to Kandy and then sent to Kilinochchi.

Currently vouchers are issued to students with which they could purchase clothes to stitch their uniforms. However the Ministry of Education still continues sent clothes to students in backward areas. Usually, these clothes sent packed in individual packets. This time received as cut and unidentifiable pieces packed in fertilizer bags. They appear dirty and very old. All 21,140 pieces are like that and we are unable to issue them to students. We have brought this to the attention of the Ministry, they said.
