Publication of list of Political Prisoners has a political motive, says Rev. Fr. M. Sakthivel

While saying that the list of Political Prisoners arrested under the PTA and detained in prisons is not complete, the Organization for releasing the Political Prisoners,  also said that it is strongly condemn the release for having a political motive.

The President of the Organization for Releasing the Political Prisoners, Rev. Fr. M.Sakthivel had further commented in a news release he had sent to the Media, that a list containing 84 persons arrested and detained under PTA was recently submitted to the Parliament. This list is not complete and that the our Organization strongly condemns the publication of the list as having a political motive.

If the details of how many of these 84 persons are  languishing in prison without cases being files against them, how many of them are attending court cases, how many of them have appealed against their sentences and how many of them are undergoing their sentences, had been included, it could have been a complete list, he had said.
