Think about why Tamil were pushed into separate state policy, says Mano Ganeshan

We never attempted to covertly pursue devolution of power in the new constitution. Do not put forward selfish political ideas. Think about why the Tamils who fought against Federal system were pushed into a policy of separate state, said the Minister of co-existence and State official Languages, Mano Ganeshan. Secessionism, Arms culture and political murders were started in the South, but now the blame had been put on the North.

He said this in an event connected to a study course on Political Leadership, held in Colombo, where he participated as a special guest.

The qualification for the parliament members should be the proficiency in all three languages.

Before telling this to the people, Ministers and MPs should get proficient in all three languages. If not, they cannot lead the country in a proper way. Tamil people should understand the hearts and minds of Sinhala people and Sinhala people should understand the hearts and minds of Tamil people.

The political leadership should have language proficiency to understand the problems of each race. he further said.
