Lethargic handling of TPPs by Government, Public Organizations gear up for Continuous struggle
In a context where the body conditions of the 3 fasting TPPS have worsened and the other TPPs engaging in Symbolic fasting, the Public Organizations are gearing up to undertake continuous struggle in support of the TPPs and demanding the Government to observe a constructive solution in the matter of Tpps and their release.
Although their bodies had weakened , 3 TPPs are on their 12th day fasting in Anuradhapura prison. Other TPPs and public organizations have decided to engage in continuous struggle in support of the fasting TPPs.
Due to the fasting, their body conditions get weakened very often and although they are being treated in the prison hospital, they are continuing their fasting. Among them, Thiruvarul had been admitted yesterday to the hospital in a fainted stage.
Meanwhile, the University Community held a protest demonstration, pledging support to the fasting TPPs and insisting with the political leaders to give pressure to the Government to fulfill the request of the TPPs. The relatives and public organizations are announcing their intent to take up a continuous struggle If the government fails to provide a solution before the 7th.
