If I am weakened, a big devil will come: Maithri in Jaffna

If you weaken me a big devil will gain strength. I wish to pass this message to all the people in this country, said the President, Maithri Sirisena yesterday, in Jaffna .

The All Sri Lanka Tamil Day celebrations were held in the Jaffna Hindu College presided by him and he said so while speaking in the Celebrations.

I have come to North placing forward three things. First is the  National Festival reminding the Tamil Language which has been commenced today I think that this is a honour bestowed on all people of this country.

We inaugurated a project related to Agriculture today in Jaffna. Jaffna farmer face all the difficulties, encounter anything and dedicatedly work well. We have inaugurated several projects through Department Agriculture.

Tamil and Sinhala are languages more than 2000 years. Languages there to create unity, but, some are trying to create splits based on the languages. I am in politics for several years. I know what is behind the black flags waved at me. We have gained much experience through war. We all know the affectation caused by war. Hence it the white flags that should be waved now.

I am trying to create a just society for all people. If I am weakened at this juncture, what will gain strength is a big  Devil he said.

He did not utter anything about fasting TPPs.
