Powers vested in a person not elected by people, says former Eastern CM, pungently

All  authority in Eastern Province has been totally handed over to a person who has not been elected by the people, said the former Eastern CM, Habis Naseer Ahmed.

He said so while speaking at an event held at the Meeravodai Ameer Ali Auditorium. All authority of the Eastern Province are in the hands of the Governor. All authority has been totally handed over to a person not elected by the people.

There are teacher vacancies in the Province. We have the obligation of insisting that the Province’s teachers should not be sent out of the Province. The teachers who had been sent out of the Province should be brought back. They should be appointed to vacancies existing in the Province, he said.
