Pineapple harvest Festival held in Puthumurippu

Pinespple harvest festival was held in Puthumurippu on last 23^rd. As move to encourage fruit cultivation, Pineapple is being cultivated as interim  crop after being introduced several areas. Thus the harvest of Pineapple was held on the 23^rd of this month. Agricultural Instructors, Syllabus Officers, farmers and the public participated in this event.

15 beneficiaries under the Provincial Specific Development grant and 30 beneficiaries under Iranaimadu Irrigation Project were selected and Pineapple suckers were issued to them and cultivating them is pursued.
