TNPF target 3 Additional LG Bodies & Crisis may come in the ‘Understanding’ Strategy

As the TNPF has demanded to form government in three additional LG Bodies, namely Jaffna Municipal Council, Nallur PS, and Karaveddy PS, crisis may develop in understanding relevant to forming Government in LG Bodies, it is said.

We could run the administration in Jaffna Municipal Council, Nallur PS, and Karaveddy PS in addition to to Chavakachcheri TC and Point Pedro TC. We could administer these three Bodies as more members are favouring us, said the Leader of TNPF, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam.

Under the aegis of the Chamber of Commerce an understanding was reached between ITAK and TNPF earlier that whoever had secured more seats to form the Government and the others desisting from disturbing it.

In a context where the TNA had won more seats in the LG Bodies demanded by the TNPF, it is presumed that a crisis may develop in the ‘understanding’.
