Permanent solution to ethnic problem, only if Government formed on a Federal system , says CM

A permanent solution to ethnic problem could be reached only if the Government is done on the basis of Federal system, said the NPC CM, C.V.Wigneswaran.

Expressing hope that the current coalition Government will go on for two years, he also said that the International Countries will not the coalition crumble.

“Our representatives should unite on policy basis, having the dawn of our people in mind. It seems that there are inputs of foreign countries in the LG Elections. Hence the International countries will not allow the coalition to crumble. I believe that this government will be in power for another two years.

The political changes that have occurred in the South may either solve the problems of the Tamil people or side-line them.

I think that a good political solution could be arrive at, if a Constitution on the basis of Federal  System is adopted for the whole country. A permanent solution could be reached depending on what stance the Sinhalese parties will take.”he further said.
