No agreement with Ranil on No Confidence Motion, says Sumanthiran

The TNA has not signed any written agreement with the Prime Minister Ranil to defeat the no confidence motion against him, assured TNA spokesman and MP Sumanthiran.

He assured so in a media conference held in Jaffna, yesterday.

Elaborating further on this he said that, the No-confidence motion was tabled a few days ago. During a negotiations the TNA insisted of fulfilling 10 issues. He said those issues will be fulfilled. However we have not signed any written agreement with him. Confusions are still prevailing as to whether this Government will continue or not.  The government cannot go back on the promises given to the people  citing the LG Election results as a reason. The Government should fill all promised matters including the new Constitution.

Although this Government had fulfilled  some of the promises, it could have done so much in the past 3 years. It should fulfill all the issues left unfulfilled within the 2 years ahead with speed. We believe it will do so.

However, TNA MPs said that Sampanthan showed them a letter in meeting held on the 4th, that, Ranil had promised to fulfill the 10 demands which was submitted by the TNA.
