Human remains found in Mannar Sathosa mass grave fully in the custody of the Court

In a context where the old buildings at the entrance to Mannar Sathosa were demolished and excavation work carried out for the construction of new buildings, large number of human remains and suspicious objects were found in them.

The Special judicial Medical expert, W.R.A.S. Rajapakse and the Prof. of Kelaniya University, Raj Somadeva said that these finds are very important and they may influence the inquiries and time determination and hence they are kept under the custody of the court and whenever they are sent for analysis, we will clean them and send them to appropriate places. Until such time they will be kept under the custody of the Courts.

They commented so participating in a media conference yesterday noon , held at Mannar.
