Contempt of Court case to be filed against the NP Governor and the CM

Action is being taken to file a contempt of Court case against  the NP Governor and the CM, on the basis of failing to implement the interim judgment  of the Appeal Court, it is reported

The CM announced that P.Deneeswaran from Ministerial post during August, last year. Deneeswaran filed a case against this decision in the Appeal Court. The judgment on this case was delivered last Friday.  The judgment said that Deneeswaran is still continuing as the Minister and ordered that the Gazette on Appointment of new Minister be cancelled.

As per the judgment , Deneeswaran had written to the Governor to give his Ministry and the Secretary. Governor Cooray had written to the CM to give a new list of Ministers including Deneeswaran. No action has been taken to implement the courts order so far which is a contempt of Court and action is being taken to file a contempt of Court case, relevant circles said.
