St. Peters air attack an unforgettable Genocide, says Rev.Fr. S.V.P.Mangalarajah
Director of the Centre for Peace and Justice, Rev. Fr.S.V.P.Managalarajh said that the Air attack on St.Peters is an unforgettable genocide.
He expressed concern over the era of spending peace less nights due to the rise in violence in the Peninsulas.
The 23rd Commemoration was held at St. Peters church yesterday Monday presided by the current parish priest.
If the children who were killed in the air attack had been alive today, they would have grown into big people, married intellectuals and achievers. It gives much sorrow when people take their own lives for meagre reasons.
Violence is shaking it ugly head all over North. Persons who sell drugs do not use it. Abusing drugs is a betrayal of your next generation.
Hundreds of people lighted candles in memory of the killed relatives.
Several politicians including NPC Minister Ananthy Saseetharan, MPc, Sivajilingam,Vali North PS Member S.Sajeevan participated in the event and shared sentiments with the relatives of the Killed.
