Protest Rally in support of Fasting TPPs in Jaffna

A protest rally was held in Jaffna today at 10.00 am in support of the 8 TPPs who have gone into fasting protest demanding that they be released after short term rehabilitation. This protest Rally was held in front of the Jaffna Main Bus Stand, said the Mass movement for Social justice.

8 TPPs have gone into the fasting protest from last Friday, at the Anuradhapura Prison . A symbolic fasting was undertaken by Tamil TPPs in Magazine last week in support of the fasting TPPs. A similar rally will be held in Vavuniya, the organizers said.
