Homage paid to Students Union Leader, shot dead by Army
The 10th Annual Commemoration of the president of the Arts Faculty Student Union, Sellaththurai Purushothaman, who served in that capacity during the crisis years of 2006, 2007 was commemorated at the University of Jaffna the Students of the University of Jaffna.
Purusothaman who acted with concern to the interests of the students and the Tamil Nationalism was assassinated by the Army on 01.11.2008.
With the commemoration in view, students garlanded his photograph, lighted memorial flames and sentimentally paid their homage.
