Pawns moved in Geneva to suit the needs of the Western Countries, says Rev.Fr. Sakthivel
While saying that pawns are being moved even in the Geneva sessions to suit the needs of the Western countries, the Coordinator of the National Movement for the Release of Political Prisoners, Rev. Fr. Sakthivel also said that the going of representatives from Sri Lanka almost resemble a tour.
There is no interaction or understanding among the representatives of affected people, who travel to Geneva. Planning is not with them as to what matters they are going to speak in Geneva nor what sort of pressure they are to exert.
Those who are going from Sri Lanka are not going there for the problem of any individual person. They should understand that they are going there with an intention of obtaining a solution for the injustices perpetrated against a Race.
The resolutions adopted by UN relevant to Sri Lanka had not been implemented fully. The truth is that the UN had not exerted adequate pressure.
The reson for this is that the sole need of the Western Countries is saving Sri Lanka. Hence they will never come forward to exert substantial pressure on Sri Lanka. the pawns are being moved even in the Geneva sessions to suit the needs of the Western countries, he said.
