Voyage to Colombo commenced from Kepapulavu with a theme of “Let’s win the land rights of people”
A voyage to Colombo with a theme of “ Let’s win the land rights of people” insisting that all lands occupied during war period, inclusive of those engaged in a land redeeming struggle for 727 days at Keppapulavu.
The voyage started at the spot of the struggle of Kepapulavu people, at around 10.30 a.m.,proceeded to Mulaitheevu District Secretariat, handed over a memorandum to Assistant District Secretary, Miss. A. Lathumeera and continued towards Colombo.
This voyage which commenced under the aegis of National Fishermen Cooperation Movement, will proceed through Kilinochchi, Jaffna, Mannar and Vavuniya to Colombo and a massive protest rally is to be held in Colombo on 2nd of next month, the organizers said.
