Appoint a UN Special Officer to investigate Sri Lanka, the Tamil Parties insist

It has been insisted in the meeting of the Tamil Parties that the UNHRC should appoint a Special Officer to investigate about Sri Lanka Affair. It has been further insisted that this Officer should be made to report to the UNHR Commissioner once in every six months.

A discussion was held at the Yarlpady Hotel in Jaffna, under the aegis of TELO yesterday.

Following the discussion , M.K.Sivajilingam said a copy of a draft of the memorandum to be submitted to the UNHRC. He further said that 3 demands are included in the Memorandum. The  signatures of the Leaders on the Tamil parties before sending it to the UNHRC and that copies of the memorandum are to be sent to various people and Organizations, he said.
