Mannar Courts orders to suspend excavations at the Mass grave
Mannar courts has ordered to temporarily suspend excavations at the Mannar Mass Grave.
Excavations had been undertaken for more than 140 times and more than 323 skeletons had been identified in the excavations.
In this context the Florida Carbon Dating Laboratory had fixed the period of the skeletons between 1499 to 1719 . Based on this the Mannar Judge had ordered the excavations to be stooped temporarily.
However, the Lawyers appearing for missing persons had commented that the report of carbon dating is incomprehensible and no firm decisions could be deduced from them and the people should keep patient .
