Renovation of Thikkam Distillery will be  completed this year, says Manager, Palmyrah Dev. Board

 There were some comments in the media that renovation of Thikkam Distillery had not moved beyond  laying the foundation stone.

Commenting on the media news, the Manager of PDB said all arrangements that were made for the renovation of Thikkam Distillery were halted  following the political instability caused on October 26^th.

However with the aid of  Industrial Development Board  and Buildings Department, the design and Purchase of Machinery  and the construction of buildings had been re- commenced now.

If no events beyond our control occur we hope to complete the renovation by the end of this year, he said.
