A land in Allarai, Chavakacheri purchased by the 52 Division

A land in Allarai, Chavakacheri had been purchased by the 52 Division for 24 million rupees.

The 52 Division is located in this land, which is called Samputh thoddam. Following the problems the owner was confronted when he tried redeem the land from the Army, he decided to sell this land to the Army. It is understood that the Ministry of Defense had already sent 24 million rupees to Divisional Secretariat through which the land is to be purchased.

It is notable that this land was used for training purposes by the LTTE in latter part of 1990s and it was rumoured among the people that there are several well constructed underground bunkers inside this land.
