A sister submits photographic evidence of her brother alive in custody to the commission

A sister submitted Channel 4 photograph in evidence with her brother under custody of the army hands bound behind the back to the Commission on Missing persons which held its sitting in Jaffna yesterday. She showed  another photo where the person sitting by the side of her brother being led away by clearly seen army officers. She demanded that those officers arrested and inquired on the fate of her brother.

She testified that, her brother Perambalanathan Pratheeban (36 years) had served 19 years with the LTTE. He surrendered to the Army on 2009.05.17 and have not heard from him to date. But, I saw him in a photograph of the Channel 4 report, sitting with hands bound behind the back. My brother’s name was in a list of surrendees published in a web site, she had said.

Another woman had testified that her husband also in the same photo, but declined to reveal her identity.
