All five District Secretaries of NP summoned for talks on Land Problem

All five District Secretaries have been summoned to participate in the Talks between the CM, NPC, C.V.Wigneswaran – President Maithri and Prime Minister Ranil.

President Maithri had invited the CM to Colombo to discuss about the land problems of the North. Prime Minister Ranil also was scheduled to participate in this meeting.  The details of lands under the control of the Army and other relevant details about the lands had been already obtained from the District Secretaries. Matters relating to these lands will be discussed in this meeting.

The CM while speaking in the last sitting of the NPC had called land details from the Members of the NPC. He commented there that he is asking the for the details from the members, because the details given by some govt. officials are wrong. It is speculated that after this meeting releasing the lands will be speeded up.
