Appointment Of secretaries stalled by CM, C.V. Wigneswaran

The Northern provincial Council Chief Minister, C.V.Wigneswaran has requested the Governor of Northern Province, Reginold Cooray  to suspend the Appointment of C.A.Mohantas as the Secretary to the Northern Province Public Service Commission and the appointment of Rupiny Varathalingam as the Secretary to the Chief Minister, it is learned.

The incumbent Secretary to the Northern Province Public Service Commission, Mrs. Rupiny Varathalingam has appealed against this transfer it was reported.

S. A. Mohantas, who was serving as the Additional District Secretary, Mullaitheevu came on transfer to the Northern Provincial Council in January was appointed as the Secretary to the Northern Province Public Service Commission on day before yesterday. Mrs. Rupiny Varalingam who was serving as the Secretary to the Northern Province Public Service Commission so far was transferred as the Secretary to the Chief Minister.

It is reported that the CM has requested the Governor to suspend these two appointments.
