Army offers New Year food packs to Kepapulavu strugglers, saying lands will be released soon
The Army men at Kepapulavu Army camp has presented the people on struggle for their lands at Kepapulavu, saying that the lands will be released soon. The people have replied in writing that only if the lands released reconciliation will be established.
Kepapilavu area people are engaged in a struggle in front of the Army Camp for the last 45 days. They observed the New Year as a Black Day.
At around 10.30 a.m. the Army personnel clad in Traditional Tamil/Sinhala clothes came to the strugglers and offered them New Year greetings and reconciliation food packages. They also comforted the people that their lands will be released soon.
Following this the Kepapilavu people replied in writing that the reconciliation will be possible only if there are released.
