Army trying capture the land released to Kilinochchi MV

Society Organizations have accused that the Army is engaging in activities to re-acquire land released for people’s use. Kilinochchi District Development Committee meeting was held yesterday and the above matter was taken in to consideration.

4 acre land belonging to Kilinochchi MV was released in 2017 to the school. But when the students tried to take Cricket practices the ground, the Army had not allowed them in. Instead the entrance has been blocked with barbed wire fence. Thus, it was pointed out to the Co-chairs that the Army is attempting to grab back the lands already released to the people.

The CM called for details of this matter. An Army Officer has promised to solve such problems.This problem also could be solved, he said.
